Advantages over conventional loans VA loans?

Everything I've heard or read about the state of VA loans are hands down better than conventional mortgage loans. To date, that is, when a family member (who has one) told me that you can get better rates with a conventional loan, and only bother to do a VA loan if you can not qualify for a conventional loan and / or are less than 20% down. I have excellent credit and plan to buy my first house with 20% down. In my situation, what are the advantages to be considered for a loan conventional VA loan? Or any other reason to consider an FHA loan VA loan for that matter? Thank you for your information.

About half of the vendors do not make a VA loan, so limit your market. I would not have a chance if I were to sell.
